Centering Community Voices

Understanding the Perspectives
and Experiences of Young Adults of Color in the United States on Their
Sexual and Reproductive Health
Through this project, we surveyed 99 young people of color to capture their voices as they navigate sexual and reproductive health (SRH) services. Their responses illuminated their decision-making processes, the barriers they face, and the influence of cultural and religious contexts on their choices. In addition to highlighting the additional services they want, the report outlines community-informed interventions to improve access and autonomy. It concludes with a framework for delivering safe, respectful, and patient-centered care that supports the well-being of young people of color.
